Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-bout contest which will be shown live on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the combatants came face-to-face to publicize next month's boxing match.
Former two time world title holder Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge disparity - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Fighter's Attitude
"I plan to damage his features and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.
"I intend to genuinely try to injure him. That's my intention."
Civil Interaction
Despite such comments, a calm Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually famous for his theatrics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul instead criticized former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "not serious" after the Cameroonian turned down a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted UK rival Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Fighter
Despite saying he intends to damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he said.
Paul's History
Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since entering professional boxing.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
However, the novice is still one of boxing's largest financial successes, frequently receiving substantial paydays.
Forecast and Belief
The 28-year-old predicted a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would stop the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently in the works for two years from now.
"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.
Size Disparity
As Joshua and Paul engaged in the usual face-off, with their size difference clearly visible, it drove home just how improbable this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the match is truly proceeding.
