Overnight, Russian missile and drone strikes have caused power cuts in multiple districts of Ukraine's capital, the Ukrainian capital.
A number of civilians were wounded while residents in eastern neighborhoods were experienced blackouts and encountered interruptions to water systems, as stated by local authorities.
At the same time, a minor was lost their life in a different Russian drone strike in the Zaporizhzhia area in the southeastern part, as reported by area administrators.
Russian forces has escalated strikes on electrical systems over the last fortnight, while the country's government has requested "concrete actions" from partner nations to exert influence on Russia.
"What's needed is not symbolic gestures but firm measures - from the United States, European nations and the major economies - in providing defensive weapons and implementing sanctions," mentioned in a public message.
Authorities reported that numerous aerial vehicles and several dozen missiles targeted the country's power systems, describing such attacks as "cynical and calculated" and against "essential services" as the weather cools.
Energy officials said Russia was "launching a major assault" and maintenance teams were laboring to restore power.
